Most pens offer ink cartridges in a limited selection of colours. I want to change that by bringing you this range of beautifully rich and distinctive inks – with no need to dispose of or replace an empty cartridge.

  • Each bottle holds 5ml of this lovely ink.
  • All our inks are water-based, acid-free, non-toxic, and vegan-friendly.
  • Each ink comes beautifully presented in a dinky glass bottle with a handy pipette for easy application.
  • Every mini ink is bottled by hand by the Tom's Studio team and packaged in a hand-painted cardboard sleeve.

Our fountain pen ink is compatible with all Tom’s Studio Pens, including calligraphy (The Flourish, Carrot, and Bloom), fountain (The Studio and Studio Pocket), fineliner (The Lumos and Lumos Mini) and the Wren.

Fountain pen inks are highly 'layerable', allowing you to build different intensities or colours by applying more or less ink on the paper. Please note that the colour on the label may not perfectly represent the colour achieved when using different pens or techniques.


Because the ink has such a concentrated colour, you can dilute it with a smidge of water (ideally distilled) to create watercolour-like washes and depth of colour.

Lovely Ink but not my colour

I love the ink, it flows well from various pens. I write poetry and flash fiction and prefer using pen and paper. This colour was simply too light for me when I read back to edit. I took the offer of 5 sample sizes and l ike other shades

Orange ink not fit for writing but beautiful for sketching

I bought this to write with, but it’s way to pale for that. I think it’d be good for sketching (like for underdrawing).
