I stumbled upon Emma's impressive artwork online and was immediately taken with her talent! Her drawings brim with character, effortlessly capturing the graceful forms of nature. Recognising her as the perfect collaborator, we joined forces to craft this remarkable botanical drawing guide. Designed to complement your Tom's Studio Lumos or Fountain Pen,, this guide will take you through the process of drawing 12 of the most beloved foliage and greenery. You can instantly download the Foliage and Greenery Drawing Guide.

This guide showcases the cream of the crop when it comes to plants. With 16 comprehensive step-by-step drawing tutorials, including Leaf branch forms from various angles and compositions, a deep dive on individual lea shapes and everyone's favourites: Gingko, Eucalyptus and Ferns.  With this guide you'll swiftly master the art of creating stunning botanical drawings.

Our Drawing Guide enables you to trace the designs, helping you build confidence and muscle memory. (FYI, our A5 Practice Pad is the ideal size and paper for this purpose.) Once you've gained this newfound confidence and honed your tracing skills, you can advance to freehand drawing, providing you with a solid foundation for recreating plants from real life.

Emma's profound passion for plants has been at the heart of her artistic journey:

'Several years ago, I wholeheartedly embraced plants as the focal point of my work, particularly after cultivating my own garden and nurturing a collection of house plants. Last year, I embarked on solo drawing excursions to gardens, dedicating my days to sketching the flora and capturing countless photos to inspire my work at home. This new practice has deepened my love for plants even further, and they now form the core of nearly all my artistic endeavours.'

Foliage and Greenery Drawing Guide

Great guide and perfect when using Tom's mechanical pencil as well. I am really enjoying working through this book which holds your hand all the way. Excellent purchase for someone who is either a beginner at drawing or has perhaps not picked up a pencil in a while and wants a refresher!
