Too many pens are disposable by design, contributing to the unfathomable 100 billion biros now sitting in landfill. Much like printer cartridges, pen companies encourage waste by locking you into their format, selling endless replacements that are bad for the planet and stifle creativity.

As a product designer and craftsman, I’ve spent years designing and handcrafting calligraphy and fountain pens for creatives across the world. However, I noticed that the pens I used most often – fineliners and writing pens – were some of the worst offenders for disposability. Either they ended up in a drawer waiting for hard-to-find refills, or I was reluctant to throw away an otherwise functional pen simply because it had run out of ink.

    I am so happy with my new Lumos mini! My only problem is that now I want all the colors! It is so beautiful and fits in my wallet so I can sketch with it anywhere.     I love this pen!!!

    I use a lot of fine liner pens in my art. When I saw the ENDLESS possibilities, I was hooked! I love the ease of changing nibs and colors. It makes my art flow easier somehow. I know I don't want to be with out mine. Now onto buying more of the wonderful inks!!!
