A Mini Pen for your Big Ideas! As you may know, I designed the Lumos as an answer to disposable pens. One of the biggest culprits is the humble biro, of which the unfathomable number of 100 Billion now reside in landfill. The mini is designed to have all of the versatility and refillability of it's big brother but in a pocket friendly package.

    • The Lumos Full Creative Tip Set
    • 3ml Deep Black Ink sample

    What ink can I use?

    The Lumos is compatible with dye-based Fountain Pen Inks, so long as they don’t contain particles (such as shimmer inks) or binders (like acrylic or shellac).

    Exception to the rule? We sell a splendid waterproof pigment ink (our own No.60 Fountain Pen Waterproof in Pigment Black). Or, if you want to splash out, Sailor Kiwa-Guro ink is a great option too.

    What are the differences between the Duo and the Single Lumos?

    The Single Lumos has one tip and one ink reservoir, which is double the Duo's reservoir size.
    The Duo Lumos allows you to have two different pens in one body, allowing you to easily change between nibs and ink colours on either side.

    Can I purchase replacement tips and reservoirs for my Lumos?

    Tom’s Studio sells itself short.

    Next time you print your boxes be sure to add to the outside print that the box contains FIVE things and not THREE: a thingameejig for holding tips so as not to ink fingers, and I can’t remember the other one as the box is now on it’s way to Spain. It’s a gift for África Roanne, a keen writer, whose 11th birthday is next week. (Start them early right?)

    Wedding Gift

    I got these for my best friends wedding so her and the groom could sign their wedding documents and have them as a keep sake! They were beautiful and wrote very nicely. Unfortunately the venue lost them so they were a very expensive one time use. We are all heartbroken. That doesn’t change the fact that they were amazing pens!

    Better than I could ever imagine!

    I purchased the Lumos Mini as a sort of pocket pen I could keep on my person at all times to take notes on the fly. At first I thought it might be too small but after using it for a while the size is perfect to both use and to tuck in a pocket. It is lightweight in hand and comfortable. The writing experience is smooth, very akin to a fountain pen but with fine tip sizes availabile I can write as small as I like on most papers. It's been my new workhorse pen for a while and it still hasn't needed refilling

    I am absolutely loving my Lumos Mini! The variety of tips are very helpful for writing, not taking, and drawing! It’s nice and compact! And I love that I can change the ink color whenever I want!
