The Wholesale Manager will be responsible for all aspects of Tom’s Studio’s retail sales channel, focusing on relationship management with stockists and thoughtfully expanding our stockist footprint to bring Tom’s Studio to more people in more places.
The role requires a hands-on approach to managing existing partnerships, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring operational excellence in wholesale fulfilment. Key Responsibilities
Retailer Relationship Management
- Streamline retail activities across channels including: Faire/Shopify Wholesale, distributors, and direct wholesale orders, while serving as the main point of contact for retail partners to ensure they have the resources to effectively sell our products.
- Gain insights into sell-through rates, top-performing SKUs, and identify the types of stores and markets best suited for Tom’s Studio products.
- Provide product education, merchandising recommendations, and range suggestions for retailers.
- Ensure our retail partners are kept up-to-date on product launches, seasonal ranges and opportunities to partner on marketing initiatives.
New Business Development
- Identify and research potential stockists in strategic markets, conducting outreach, introducing Tom’s Studio products, and overseeing the onboarding process—from product education to placing the first order.
- Collaborate with existing partners to develop new business opportunities and identify potential new partners as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date buy cards and retail catalogues with accurate information, pricing, and products, collaborating with our Graphic Designer to customise them for specific retailers or markets where required.
Operations and Fulfilment Coordination
- Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure wholesale orders are fulfilled efficiently and within agreed SLAs.
- Maintain a smooth process for retail order management, anticipating and resolving potential issues.
Wholesale Sales Performance & Database Management
- Monitor and report on the performance of the wholesale channel to senior management and the wider team.
- Forecast wholesale sales to support inventory planning, fulfilment and financial projections, and ensure our retail approach aligns with overarching company goals.
- Own and maintain an up-to-date internal database of all stockists of Tom’s Studio products, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Work closely with our Customer Experience team to ensure they’re up-to-date on our stockists and able to identify the closest store for any customer enquiry.
Trade Show Management
- Identify key trade shows aligned with Tom’s Studio’s brand and growth strategy.
- Plan and manage trade show participation, including budgeting, booth setup, marketing materials, and product displays.
- Work with our internal team to ensure we have all product display and POS needs.
Omnichannel Coordination
- Partner with the eCommerce team to ensure a joined-up approach across retail and DTC channels, delivering a seamless omnichannel experience for customers and maintaining brand and pricing consistency.
About You:
- 3-5 years experience in wholesale, account management, or a similar role, ideally in an innovative or disruptor consumer product environment.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to understand and meet the needs of retail partners.
- Excited by Tom’s Studio brand, product and mission and able to effectively articulate our product range to a range of global partners.
- Sales-driven with a track record of generating new business and achieving targets.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with experience managing databases and tracking performance metrics.
- Collaborative approach, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams such as Operations and Marketing.
- Comfortable analysing sales data and providing actionable insights.
- Experience managing trade shows or events is a plus.
- Interest in stationery, creativity and sustainability is a big plus!

Role Location:
Predominantly remote with occasional travel for store visits, trade shows, and trips to Tom’s Studio offices in Ringwood (Hampshire) and Frome (Somerset).
