Finally, a fountain pen that’s as interesting as you are.

Gone are the days of fountain pens that feel like they’ve been mass produced in some Dickensian, utilitarian workshop. The Studio Pocket Fountain Pen 2.0 is hand-assembled right here in our studio, with 36 possible colour combinations – plus the option to laser engrave it, making it feel as unique to you as your handwriting.

Despite its diminutive 90mm size when capped, it extends to a comfortable 130mm when posted – making it (dare we say it?) the most portable and comfortable fountain pen in the world. We might be blowing our own trumpet here, but we’ll let you be the judge.

And nibs – oh, wonderful nibs. Often under appreciated, but never overlooked by us. The Studio Pocket Pen is a bit like the Go-Go Gadget of the fountain pen world: with three interchangeable nibs to choose from and six more creative nibs you can add, you can switch things up depending on your mood, your writing style, or your next creative adventure.

This refresh is all about making the fountain pen experience feel more personal, more joyful, and a whole lot more fun. Because when your tools reflect who you are, creativity flows that little bit more freely.

Choose one of the following nibs:

Each nib has unique characteristics so please do read up on each to help you make the best choice.

Specifications:

  • Length capped – 90mm
  • Length posted – 130mm
  • Pen barrel diameter – 10mm
  • Weight – 25g
  • Made from Anodised Aluminium

Full FAQs and a video guide to getting started with your Pocket Fountain Pen can be found here.

Please note: We recommend you flush your fountain pen thoroughly before use. This will remove any oils from the nib which are present during manufacture, and will impede ink flow.

What ink can I use?
The Pocket Fountain Pen comes with one of our nifty refillable ink cartridges, pre-filled with our Deep Black Fountain Pen Ink as standard. Want to get cracking with a different ink colour right away? You can find empty refillable cartridges here.

The Pocket Fountain Pen works beautifully with all fountain pen inks. Be sure not to use calligraphy specific ink as this can clog the pen.

How do I change the nib?
The nib units all unscrew from the pen. With the nib pointing towards you, remove the ink cartridge then simply pinch the nib and the feed (the black part under the nib) and twist anti-(counter) clockwise.

Absolutely delighted

Tom, your pen is something else! I’m a bit of a fountain pen hoarder :-) and this is one of the best I’ve seen and used.. I love the colours too.. both the pen itself and the ink! Thank you!

Fabulous weight and size

Love this pen. It is small and compact so great for carrying around, but converts to a full size when you remove the lid and add to the bottom of the pen. It is also a very nice weight. Easy to add ink to the cartridge using the syringe that arrives with the pen. I use mine for drawing with the extra fine semi flex nib and it's perfect. The ink flow is good too, even with a shimmer ink. Mine is in Rose gold which is a super nice classy colour. I have several Toms Studio pens and I use them all for different things and I love them all!

Lovely pocket pen

This pocket pen is beautifully designed and well crafted. I especially appreciate how well balanced it is. I’m using it with a Kaweco folding sport converter which is more convenient for me to fill but the converter syringe it came with is a nice touch. The EF flexible nib is very good and I am enjoying the ease of being able to practice calligraphy with it.
