Version 2.0! The pocket-size fountain pen you know and love… but better!

I’m always striving to improve my designs based on your feedback, and after many iterations, I’ve made the Studio Pocket Pen even more, well, pocket-friendly! By tweaking the proportions, I’ve reduced its size by 12mm when fully posted, creating an on the go pen that feels even better in hand. The result? A perfectly balanced, compact design that enhances both portability and your writing experience.

The newly redesigned Pocket Pen – small, but still just as mighty! At just 90mm when capped and 130mm when posted, this pen transforms from a pint-size powerhouse into a full-sized writing instrument, providing a comfortable fit whether you’re writing, drawing, or practicing calligraphy.

Balance has always been an obsession of mine, and the Pocket Pen is no exception. I’ve refined the materials and dimensions to create a perfect centre-weighted feel. When the cap is posted, the extra length gives you greater control, especially for calligraphic upstrokes, allowing for a lightness of touch that’s crucial for precision.

The 50mm grip length is uninterrupted by threads or limitations, giving you freedom to hold the pen exactly how you like, whether closer to the nib for writing or further back for drawing. It also features clever micro-grooves on the anodised aluminium body, providing a non-slip grip without sacrificing the pen’s sleek aesthetic or durability.

Sustainability is also key – I’ve included an ink syringe so you can easily refill your cartridges, cutting down on waste. Finally, the octagonal design ensures that your pen stays put when set down, preventing those dreaded nib-first falls.

This latest iteration of the Pocket Pen offers the ultimate pocket-friendly, perfectly proportioned design, ensuring an exceptional writing experience wherever you go!

Each nib has unique characteristics so please do read up on each to help you make the best choice.

*The Pro-Flex is a fountain pen nib that mimics the line variation and stroke of a calligraphy nib. It requires a practiced hand to achieve smooth, elegant penmanship – for this reason, we recommend it for experienced calligraphers only. Additionally, this nib must be cleaned after each use and should not be left in the pen.

Please note: We recommend you flush your fountain pen thoroughly before use. This will remove any oils from the nib which are present during manufacture, and will impede ink flow. 

What ink can I use?
The Pocket Fountain Pen works beautifully with all fountain pen inks. Be sure not to use calligraphy specific ink as this can clog the pen.

How do I change the nib?
The nib units all unscrew from the pen. With the nib pointing towards you, remove the ink cartridge then simply pinch the nib and the feed (the black part under the nib) and twist anti-(counter) clockwise.

In love again!!

I absolutely love all of my pens and pencil!! I do struggle with opening the 2.0. But I'm sure there's a reason for the difference between the two. The Iris purple is just incredible! I adore all of the jewel tones and the Iris fits beautifully with my Ivy, Raspberry and Midnight pens! You are an amazing artist! I am so grateful for the opportunity to enjoy them! I can't wait to see what else you have in the works!!

Pocket fountain pen

I love this fountain pen so much and am really enjoying using it for my art. Really wish you could get cartridges with waterproof ink in though that would make it perfect for me!
