How do I store the tips?

If a tip is inked, it should never be left to dry out. Always store inked parts within the pen with the cap on or in an airtight container when not in use. If ink dries inside the tip, it can clog and may no longer be usable.

• Highlighter inks: If the tip starts to dry out, dipping it in water will usually get it flowing again.
• Permanent inks: Do not leave the tip uncapped for more than 10 minutes, as it may begin to dry out. If this happens, dipping the tip in water may help restore the flow. However, if a permanent ink tip is left uncapped for more than an hour, the ink can dry inside the tip and reservoir, and both will need to be replaced.

If you want to clean a tip, rinse it thoroughly to remove all ink, then allow it to dry completely before re-inking.
