Brush heads, redefined
Each brush head is handmade in the UK by skilled brushmakers, drawing on decades of experience and using the finest-quality synthetic fibres. Synthetic bristles have come a long way – today’s modern fibres are consistent, with lovely spring, smooth flow and reliable control, which is exactly why we chose them. They perform beautifully with both watercolour and gouache, and stand up to years of regular use.

Handles built for balance
Each handle is precision-machined from solid anodised aluminium, giving a satisfying weight and excellent durability. We’ve paid close attention to balance, so the brush feels comfortable, steady and controlled in use.

Designed to stay with you
When a brush head reaches the end of its life, it can be easily removed and replaced. Less waste, more painting, and a beautifully made handle designed to stay with you for the long term.

Choosing Your Brush Head
Round 2 – Fine detail
A small, precise round for delicate line work, tiny highlights, lettering, botanicals and those satisfying finishing touches.

Round 4 – Controlled detail + small washes
A versatile mid-small size. Great for stems, petals, small shapes, tighter marks and neat colour placement, with enough belly for short strokes and mini washes.

Round 6 – The everyday workhorse
A brilliant all-rounder. Ideal for general watercolour painting, sketchbook work, layering, soft edges and most day-to-day techniques. If you’re not sure where to start, this is the one.

Round 8 – Loose strokes + generous washes
A larger, expressive round with plenty of capacity. Perfect for looser florals, bolder marks, backgrounds, wet-on-wet work and creating movement in your painting.

Flat ½ in – Washes, blocks and confident strokes
A classic flat for smooth washes, broad strokes, sharp edges and simple, graphic marks. Excellent for laying in skies, backgrounds, glazing and controlled rectangles of colour.
