Black & Gold pairs a satin black base with a hand-finished splash of metallic gold – no two pens are ever quite the same.

It’s a finish inspired by the spontaneity of Tom’s early designs, when every experiment in the workshop became a new idea worth sharing. Each is crafted in small, limited edition batches, designed to be treasured for years, and a quiet reminder that even the most refined tools begin life with a little creative chaos.

Ready to use straight out of the box, it comes with a 5ml black permanent ink and bullet tip, plus a 5ml fluoro yellow highlighter ink and highlighter tip.

What ink can I use?

The Ori is compatible with our water-based Permanent inks, Fluoro highlighter inks, standard Fountain Pen Inks and Fibre Tip Inks. Please note the Ori is not suitable for use with our Shimmer Fountain Pen Inks or Calligraphy Inks.

How do I store the reservoir and tips?

If a reservoir or tip is inked, it must never be left to dry out. Always store inked parts in an airtight container. If ink dries inside, the reservoir or tip will clog and can’t be used again.

The story

A little creative chaos

Each piece carries a hand-applied gold splash that calls back to the early days in the workshop, when Tom first hand-splattered a few Studio Fountain Pens (because, why not!). They sold out instantly and became a bit of a studio legend. Every pen is a little different, made in small batches and designed to last a lifetime.
