The Pro-Flex nib is a professional-grade titanium Zebra G with a super fine point, offering fantastic results (it flexes from hairline to 2mm) but requires a light touch, which comes from many hours of practice with a more straightforward calligraphy pen. For this reason, we recommend the Pro-Flex for experienced calligraphers only.

This nib also features a new ink delivery system, the feed, which is designed to stay in contact with the nib. It achieves this through an integrated 'leaf spring', allowing the feed to flex when the nib does. Most flex pens fail when the feed loses contact with the nib, but this innovation ensures a consistent ink flow. This clever feature also acts as a 'sump', storing excess ink and releasing it as needed when the nib requires it.

If you're a fountain pen user looking to add a touch of flair to your writing, we suggest starting with the Semi-Flex or Titanium Flex nibs. These options will help you develop the necessary understanding and muscle memory before advancing to the Pro-Flex.

Made to work in all of my fountain pens, the housing is a Bock 250 size 6, which is common to many lovely tools.

Most fountain pen nibs are made from stainless steel, which is highly resistant to corrosion but is also extremely hard. Calligraphy nibs, on the other hand, are made from softer, springier alloys that allow them to flex with very little pressure. The trade-off is that these alloys corrode over time. However, the titanium coating protects the nib and makes it last up to six times longer than a standard nib. Once your nib eventually wears out, you can remove it with pliers and replace it with a new one.

This is a very juicy nib, which is amazing for performance but can occasionally cause the nib to leak when you don't intend it to. If this happens, just remove the cartridge or converter before travelling or storing.

A very frustrating feature of eye-dropper pens is that they sometimes suffer from 'ink burping' (very unpleasant!). This is a mystery that even the greatest minds are still trying to decipher, but it can mean that ink-hungry nibs like the pro-flex can be affected by inconsistent ink flow. If this happens, it may be worth reverting to an ink cartridge or converter.

Fantastic drawing nib

I do a lot of sketching and drawing, and direct with pen to page is my favourite way to go. But this nib is a game changer. The easy and dramatic change from fine to wider stroke takes your drawing to a whole new level. I do look after my nib and clean it every time even if it is tempting to just leave the ink in! And i find the ink flow just fine. I have used it to draw in cafes, on promenades, at the beach, and when I was a tourist in Dubrovnik Old Town! I LOVE this nib. Perfect.

Super flex nib😃

...i just love to use this nib for drawing and coloring (ink and watercoulor) this nib have a perfekt range of line thickness frome werry thinn to (ok) broad 😀 perfekt for my art of drawing!!! But you have to be careful when you use waterproof ink to clean the nib and feet (at least remowe the cartridge and rinse the nib and feet with water at the end of a day) but that's my opinion that doesn't mean that this is the only way 🤔😉 ...thanks Tom fore your passion and work keep it up 😁👍
