2025 Advent Calendar – revealed!

2025 Advent Calendar – revealed!

Posted by Alice Hadley on

Huge thanks for spending December with our very first Advent Calendar. We hoped it would bring a few quiet moments of curiosity, creativity, and calm along the way.

One of the most helpful bits of feedback we received (thank you – so many of you shared your thoughts) was that you’d like clearer detail on what each item actually was, and how it fits into the wider Tom’s Studio world. Completely fair.

So here’s a simple, door-by-door guide to everything inside the calendar, with links to refills and related bits where they exist. We hope it’s useful – and as always, if you have questions, we’re here to help.

Day One – EXCLUSIVE Glacier Lumos Mini

Our bestselling Lumos Mini – infinitely refillable and compatible with 11 Japanese-made creative tips – finished in an icy blue colourway created exclusively for the 2025 Advent Calendar. Find Lumos refills and tips here.

Day Two – EXCLUSIVE “Candy Cane” Mini Ink

A festive red, hand-mixed by our studio team. Bright, cheerful, and made for seasonal scribbles. Shop our year-round mini ink range here.

Day Three – Lumos Spare Reservoirs & Container

Spare reservoirs for switching colours in your Lumos, plus a glass container to store inked tips when not in use. Extra Lumos reservoirs are available here.

You got early access to the glass container – they will be available on site properly very soon. In the meantime, we do have these Reservoir & Tip Containers.

Day Four – Lumos Grip & Roll Stop

A natural cork grip that also doubles as a roll stop. Simple, tactile, and surprisingly satisfying.

Day Five – Lumos Highlighter Tips & Mini Ink

A sneak peek of what’s coming. You tested our Fluoro Green highlighter ink ahead of our full highlighter range launching this spring. Tip refills will follow then too.

Day Six – Popcorn Tea + Monoline Lettering Guide

A cosy cup of our much-loved popcorn tea, paired with a complete monoline lettering guide – a lovely way to get to know your Lumos.

Day Seven – Write Off Pen Rest

A small but mighty desk upgrade. This recycled plastic pen rest keeps pens, pencils, and brushes exactly where you left them, with a marbled finish that makes every one unique.

Day Eight – EXCLUSIVE “Tinsel Pink” Mini Ink

A joyful pop of pink, mixed in-house and available only to Advent customers. Shop our year-round mini ink range here.

Day Nine – Detail Brush Tips

Soft yet controlled, these detail brush tips (not included in the Creative Tip set) make it easy to create expressive thick-and-thin strokes with real nuance.

Day Ten – Coffeenotes × Tom’s Studio A7 Notebook (Grounds)

Made with our friends at Coffeenotes. A dinky A7 notebook with a “Grounds” cover (created using coffee waste), perfect for notes on the go. We sell sets of three here, if you'd like to stock up.

Day Eleven – Lumos Loop Lid

An extra lid, in the colour Champagne, the Loop keeps your Lumos Mini close at hand – keys, bag, or lanyard.

Day Twelve – Field Mouse

Tiny, refillable, and made for moments when ideas strike unexpectedly. Clip it on and never be caught scribble-less again.

Day Thirteen – Leather Key Fob

Handmade in small batches using durable leather and solid brass hardware – this key fob (in Forest green) is the perfect partner to your Field Mouse.

Day Fourteen – EXCLUSIVE “Silent Night” Mini Ink

A deep, inky blue – calmer and more classic than the earlier inks. A favourite for writing and exclusive to the 2025 Advent Calendar. Shop our year-round mini ink range here.

Day Fifteen – Möbius + Ruppert Pencil Sharpener

Our go-to sharpener. Two sizes, a reassuring grip, and compatible with round, hexagonal, and triangular pencils. A proper desk staple.

Note: We didn’t include a pencil here, assuming most of you already have a favourite at home – this one’s designed to earn its place on your desk for the long haul.

Day Sixteen – Choccy Bickky Tea & Character Drawing Guide

A comforting biscuity brew paired with a playful character-drawing guide by illustrator Bethan Woollvin. Quick, joyful sketches – perfect with the Field Mouse.

Day Seventeen – “Best Eraser in the World”

The Kadokeshi 28-corner eraser. Designed so you’re never without a sharp edge when precision matters.

Day Eighteen – Coffeenotes × Tom’s Studio A7 Notebook (White)

The second notebook in the pair, this time with a white cover (made with grape residue, wouldn't you know?). We sell sets of three here, if you'd like to stock up.

Day Nineteen – EXCLUSIVE “Chilly Snap” Mini Ink

A fresh, pale turquoise – light, cool, and quietly cheerful. This shade was mixed for you by our talented Studio team, and you can shop our year-round mini ink range here.

Day Twenty – EXCLUSIVE “Fjord” Wren

Our bestselling refillable writing pen, finished in a blue-green ombré created just for the Advent Calendar. Find Wren refills here.

Day Twenty-One – Write Off Lid

A recycled plastic lid designed in an exclusive blue-green colour mix, made to pair beautifully with your Fjord Wren.

Rather than another refill, we chose this as a way to let you try something a little different – a small, tactile introduction to our Write Off range, and a chance to change up the look and feel of your Wren. There’s much more to come from this range later this year.

A quick note on Write Off: Billions of disposable pens are thrown away each year. Write Off is our way of closing the loop – reclaiming waste stationery, sorting it by hand, and giving it a second life. Made in collaboration with Brothers Make, every piece is completely one-of-a-kind.

Day Twenty-Two – Christmas Chai Tea & Christmas Drawing Guide

A warming festive tea (limited edition, no less!) paired with a Christmas drawing guide by Emma Webb – a lovely companion for the Wren.

Day Twenty-Three – EXCLUSIVE “Evergreen” Mini Ink

A deep, fir-tree green to round out the festive mini ink collection. Shop our year-round mini ink range here.

Day Twenty-Four – Japanese MT Washi Tape

A classic paper washi tape – easy to tear, reposition, and remove cleanly. Simple, useful, and endlessly versatile. You'll find more colours here.

Note: Quite a few of you wanted a bigger finale. Noted, learned from, and we’ll do better next year.

Thank you for coming along with us on our first Advent Calendar. Your feedback genuinely shapes what we do next. If you'd like to share your thoughts, you can complete our brief survey here.
