Medium Fountain Pen Nib

It’s special and not expensive. Love it.

I got the EF version of this nib and it is just mind blowing. Did I ever think I'd be saying that about a fountain pen nib? No. But here I am in 2025 gushing about nibs! This is the best experience I've gotten out of a fountain pen nib that I can remember. It's sensitive but also compensates for some amount of mishandling and/or failure to maintain perfect technique. There is no need to hold this nib *just so* in order to get full responsiveness or consistent ink flow. My left-handed script looks *excellent* and graceful, and again even when my technique is bad, I angle incorrectly, or I press way too hard, or do something else badly that would 100% cause gaps in my script with some of my other nibs, I'm still getting fully inked, pretty lines.
Certainly my favorite fountain pen nib available from Tom's Studio (and I believe I have tried them all except one), and quite possibly the best one I've *ever* used or tested.

My children bought me a fountain pen for my birthday… not knowing that I was already a massive Tom fan. But I dropped it, and, of course, it landed on its nib. I took the opportunity when ordering a replacement to change to a Fine, and I love it. Really fine, but not at all scratchy. And the pen, is, naturally, a gorgeous compliment to my Lumos.
