Fine Bone China - Artist's Water Jug

I’ve teamed up with ceramicist extraordinaire Wendy Tournay to create these unique artist’s water jugs.

Each is handmade by Wendy and has a signature 24ct gold drip decoration. This references the Japanese philosophy of "Wabi-sabi " (the beauty of things; imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete.) It seems fitting with an artist's tool where the only way to improve and progress is through the inevitable mistakes, inky splots and splashes.

The collaboration is a marriage of state of the art 3D printing to create a high resolution 'master'.  Wendy uses this model to create a mold from plaster, once this has set she can then replicate the master design by pouring bone china slip into it.

Each jug is cast by hand and, with a simple thumb impression, allows it to be used as a brush rest too. The solid design and wide base provides extra stability, so no more spillages.

  • Each jug is hand-made so will be completely unique.

  • It also pairs beautifully with the Fine Bone China - Artist's Pallette (not included)

  • Dimensions: (approx) 60mm x 60mm
