Our workbook has been meticulously designed and created to be as clear and informative as possible, introducing you to the world of modern calligraphy, including a brief history of the art and its origins.
You will learn how best to set up your workspace, and how to accurately and comfortably hold your pen.
Moving on, Gemma will take you through basic strokes, and the upper and lowercase alphabet, as well as demonstrating common mistakes. There are even plenty of example calligraphy for you to copy, to aid with your practice and to help you to develop your own style.
The Flourish Calligraphy Pen is the perfect accompaniment on your journey as it is suitable for both beginners and professionals alike.
The universal flange allows you to swap in any nib you like without having to grab the pliers - all you need to do is place your favourite nib in the holder, twist and you’ll be back to flourishing in a flash!

Your order will be shipped within 48 hours when in stock, please refer to lead times of the product you are buying, as some handmade / hand dipped products may take longer until we send them. Delivery is calculated from dispatch. All UK orders are shipped using Royal Mail Tracked 48. If you need your order by a specific date there is a next-day Special Delivery option.

I absolutely love this kit. The pen (I chose the rose gold oblique Flourish) is a thing of beauty. I am immediately put in the right frame of mind for calligraphy, simply by picking it up. The instruction booklet is excellent too, and the letters it demonstrates are beautiful. I am really enjoying learning how to do modern calligraphy following the booklet and using my new pen.
