Fine Bone China - Artist's Palette
A bespoke artist's palette created by Wendy Tournay, featuring a calming water-inspired design and a touch of 24ct gold, embodying the Wabi-sabi aesthetic.
I’ve teamed up with ceramicist extraordinaire Wendy Tournay to create these unique artist’s palettes.
As you can see I've been inspired by water to create the calming their calming form. It's my hope that these pieces will set the scene for you to get lost in a state of creative flow.
Each palette is handcrafted by Wendy and features a signature 24ct gold drip decoration, inspired by the Japanese philosophy of "Wabi-sabi" — the beauty of things imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete. This philosophy resonates particularly well with an artist's tool, where progress is made through inevitable mistakes, inky splots, and splashes.
Our collaboration combines state-of-the-art 3D printing to create a high-resolution 'master'. Wendy uses this master to create a plaster mould, which she then uses to replicate the design by pouring bone china slip into it.
Each palette is hand-made so will be completely unique. It pairs beautifully with the Fine Bone China - Artist's Jug (not included).
