Behind every pen we make is a team of passionate people, and we’ve always believed that creativity thrives in good company – Tobi is proof of just how true that is.
It’s our pleasure to introduce: Tobi Robinson – the maker behind our beautiful new leather Lumos grip (with more exciting things to come!).
Tobi was part of our amazing studio team, which meant his hands were on pretty much everything: from building pens and bottling inks to painting boxes and packing orders. So when he shared his passion (and clear talent) for leatherwork with us, we knew instantly he was the perfect person to help create something truly special for the Lumos.
Now based just up the road from us, in Bristol, Tobi’s taking his leatherwork full-time (yes, Tobi!). His handcrafted leather grips are designed to add a little extra comfort and character to your Lumos – all while stopping it from rolling away mid-thought (we’ve all been there).
These leather grips are made in small batches, with the leather cut, bevelled, glued, stitched, and finished entirely by hand. No shortcuts – just time, care, and a good bit of know-how from someone who knows our pens inside out.
The grips are slightly padded and measure 12–13mm in diameter – meaning they feel extra comfortable in hand. You can also slide them up or down, so they’re just as useful on either end of your Lumos Pro Duo.
We’re delighted to be working with Tobi again, and to be supporting his new venture – and we hope you enjoy these little handcrafted details as much as we do.
