Too many pens and their refills are disposable by design. Similar to printer ink cartridges, pen companies want you to buy into their format so that they can keep selling you replacement pens or refills over and over again. It's good for their business, but it's bad for the planet and stifles creativity.

As a product designer and craftsman who loves using a variety of pens to create illustrations and designs, I had this very problem! Pens would sit in my drawer for years, either patiently waiting for that very specific refill, or I was just loathed to dispose of an otherwise fully functional pen that had run out of ink.
Having designed and handmade calligraphy and fountain pens for creative folks across the world full time for over 6 years, I decided it was time to apply my knowledge to the pen I used most of all and one of the biggest culprits when it came its disposable nature: the fineliner.
GOOD TO KNOW:
- Choose between: Super Grippy Matt Black or Satin glass bead blasted Sage, Lilac, Ivy, or Rose-Gold
- The Lumos Pro comes with a full set of 11 tips, but you can buy your favourite nib size or type in packs of 3 here: Lumos tips.

- The Lumos Pro weighs 23g and is 10mm in diameter

- A sample bottle of Tom's Studio - Deep Black Ink (not waterproof). More colours are available here: Fountain pen ink as well as waterproof pigment inks . Calligraphy Inks are not compatible (find out more in FAQs below).

What ink can I use?
- All nibs will work with all but the most experimental fountain pen inks (think shimmer + iridescent). I've tried a LOT and I'm yet to find one that doesn't work well. I'd encourage you to experiment and find the inks that work best for you!

What are the differences between the Duo and the Single Lumos?
The Duo Lumos allows you to have two different pens in one body, allowing you to easily change between nibs and ink colours on either side.
The Single Lumos has one tip and one ink reservoir which is double the Duo's reservoir size.
What's the difference between the Lumos and other refillable technical pens? (E.g. Rotring Isograph and Copic Multiliner).

So I designed the Lumos around them, with 11 sizes and types you are sure to find the ones to perfectly suit your style.

Believe it or not, I just made a little review for my (very humble and tiny) drawing YouTube channel « floriflore » about the Lumos yesterday ! As I am very pleased with the great versatility of the Lumos, it felt natural to share the news ! It is always a pleasure to discover people passionate about their work and who makes great creative tools !
I really love the lumos. It is so high quality- and feels like it looks. To write and letter with it (no matter if fine oder brush) feels really perfect, since it lays wonderful in your hand. I'm happy to start a new lettering adventure with my lumos! 🥳👏🏼
I really, really like the Lumos pen -- it's flow is terrific and I love that I have an option of tips. A few bits of feedback: it wasn't clear to me when purchasing that the "pack" came with multiple tips. It does -- and it's great to be able to switch between tips! Better clarity/marketing on the website about what exactly the starter pack contains would be helpful. Also: the instructions on changing tips etc. are really lacking and could be more robust. (I got an immediate response to my query via email which is terrific. But one shouldn't have to write for instructions). Finally: I got the single not dual tip Lumos, and, having used it for some weeks now, I wish I'd gotten the dual. (Note: it is confusing that the pack includes "multiple tips" but there is an option to get a "single" vs "duo tip"). If you want/use multiple colors, get the dual. B/c I got the single, I had to then invest in additional "fillers/cartridges" so I could swap out colors. Yes, one can buy additional refills and little tubes to store the fillers in, but it's a closed system and that seems anti-sustainable which is the very premise Lumos counters.

Easy to fill and love writing with it.
Absolutely stunning!! The weight feels lovely in my hand. I have used two of the nibs so far (bullet and brush), and I am over the moon for it!! Would definitely love to collect the other colors in the future! 😍
